Colour notes and sketchbook

The focus of my art has been the landscapes of North Wales and my degree work has been is concerned with further developing techniques, language and style.  This has included looking at the potential of a minimalist approach and the use of a minimal palette to clarify the shape and form of the landscape as lighting varies, including the work of de Stael.

Early developments in this respect can be seen in selections from my sketchbook at the time, which from the standpoint of more recent work has acted primarily as a colour notebook.
