Earlier work

This page shows some work from the run up to my Diploma Show. The night scenes of Rhos on Sea provided an irresistible subject to apply a colour palette which references the work of deVlamink, while applying some of the techniques developed through the Project to my favourite subject, Sychnant Pass.

The life paintings and still life were essentially practice, to ensure that I don’t lose sight of these important disciplines.
